RMEF banquet date??

Does this make any sense? All the dedicated elk hunters I know will be 1100 miles away from this event.

Sure. RMEF has banquets in Central Texas too. I imagine they have banquets anywhere there is a decent amount of hunters.

Lot's of people dream of hunting out west, some accomplish their dream and others keep dreaming. Both groups of people are likely to pay membership dues and donate. RMEF is trying to capitalize on that, as they should.

Worst case scenario it's a good excuse to hang out with like minded people.

I believe he was asking if it’s crazy because many of the RMEF Ozarks members will probably be out west, chasing elk in the heart of the rut.

I need to brush up on my critical reading skills. I didn't pay any attention to the date. Yes, you are correct. Only the folks who didn't draw or aren't doing an OTC would attend.

Yep , our chapter wised up years ago and holds their banquet in June now.
I would contact the chairperson and suggest they move it next year, maybe before the draws to get folks thinking about elk hunting.
Hope they raise some great funds.
