should work. our helo guys used duct tape in Viet Nam to repair (temporarily, one always hoped!) battle damaged rotors on the Hueys.

There is actually a super glue meant to be used on humans. I have some in my med kit, as I would rather do that then break out a suture.

I can't tell you how many times I have superglued a cut, wrapped with electrical tape, and kept going. Those 2 things have a spot in my first aid kit.

Dermabond or Vetbond are the medical grade super glue. But unless you have a hook up, the medical grade ones are pricey. In a back country situation, everyday superglue will get you closed up.

There is always a roll of electrical tape in my pack. Always have a couple feet of 20lbs test in there as well. They come in handy more times than you would think.
