Anyone here see the appeal in this fight. Looks like it is going to happen sometime this summer.

Going to be boxing so Floyd is going to clown the guy. They fought MMA rules it wouldn't make it past 60s.

pure marketing from both parties involved. McGregor has a history with this tactic, running his mouth to generate interest. Waste of money to watch it. Im more interested in watching GSP knock out Bitchbing.

In a boxing ring mcgregor will get rag dolled and the same would happen to mayweather in the octagon, but there's too much money to be made for it not to happen. Im more interested in plenty of other fights but im sure i'll end up watching it

Mcgregors big cross isn't going to have the same impact in 10 oz gloves as compared to the mma 4 oz glove. Mayweather will most likely win because he will stay out of trouble, and score points. I personally could care less about this fight with boxing rules its a boring ass matchup. Now if Mayweather wanted to put on his big boy pants, and step into the octagon I would pay to see him get annihilated, but we all know that will never happen.

Yeah, McGregor is going to get his ass handed to him. He'll make a ton of money, but his aura will definitely take a hit.

Macgregor wont even touch Mayweather if the fight ever does happen. Floyd will dance circles around him and have an easy walk in the park. The pre fight sh$t talk will be more entertaining. It probably will end quick and be a waste of money.

McGregor has a size advantage over Floyd that is considerable. Mcgregor is a very solid south paw who has a punchers advantage in the early rounds. Floyd is a defensive specialist who is a bore to watch. I cant believe mcgregor has much of a chance here, id like a smaller boxing glove.

They are talking this will possibly be a one billion dollar fight, to much money on the line for it not to happen. Hoping its decent but expectations are low.

Bang on. I think this is an easy one to predict. It won't hurt McGregor too much because after he loses in a decision he will just run his mouth and say that Floyd was scared in the ring and ran from him the whole time. The fight won't settle anything but the money will be big. That's my prediction.

mayweatherr is light years technically ahead of mcgregor in the ring. he'll just counter him to score and run around the ring for 12 rounds and win by decision just like hes done his whole career. yawn no thx

Might as well arm wrestle if you ask me. Totally pointless to watch. Watching McGregor eat jabs and throw air balls the whole fight isn't worth my $50-100 for a PPV

I doubt it'll happen. Just a way to promote their selves. Keep them in the public eye. That alone will make them money. McGregor wouldn't have a chance in the boxing ring with Mayweather. He makes good boxers look bad. I mean it'd be a no brainer for Mayweather to take the fight, if set in a boxing ring. But McGregor would be putting himself out there to except a fight in a boxing ring. Large purse, but could be career ending. I feel like Mayweather would humiliate him to the point I wouldn't be able to take McGregor seriously in the ring.

I think Connor is a marketing genius. He plays his persona perfect to generate the attention he does. In the minutes after the first Diaz fight, he was humble and I think that's the real CM. But I don't know about this fight. He risks a loss to his brand if he loses. And Floyd is such a boring fighter. He doesn't take risks. I'll watch it, but expect it to be more disappointing that Pacheo/Mayweather.
