Anyone have experience buying optics from European vendors?

Binostore out of Italy has the Meostar HDs for $200 less than anywhere in the states, but I don't want to get screwed paying a crazy import tax if there is one.

Any advice is appreciated!

You may want to look into warranty issues. Typically, and it's this way with Swaro for sure, if you buy it in Europe you have to send back to Europe for warranty work. The USA folks won't work on them.

I purchased my Zeiss BRF Rangefinding Binos from a local dealer here in Louisiana, and sent them back to Zeiss for repairs. When I called them several weeks later to check on status, they told me they ship all BRF back to Germany for repairs, which adds several weeks to turnaround time.
They had no problem repairing them, and it was covered under the warranty, just that they don't have the facility to repair the BRF here in the US.
