I drew an xtra deer tag and my 13 y/o daughter drew an xtra deer tag and youth black bear in 22

Well, I got my extra deer tag. Everybody else in the office for the cow tag but me. Guess I'm just going to shoot whatever elk I can off the haystack. Just be nice to have 5 months to do it.

Nope, this is the antelope hunt. I'm the only non-resident that gets a tag for an antelope there this year. I apply for the regular season elk hunt and the late buck hunt there as well but struck out on those. I'll chase elk with my bow up high and head down low for antelope with my rifle.

No draw here! I'd choose OTC over 90% of the draw elk tags anyway, I'm still a happy camper knowing I can hunt elk another year! (grin)

I was extremely lucky and drew 40-1 archery elk tag. Now the work begins in preparation for what will possibly be the best elk tag I ever draw.
