Man, there are not many words that can describe it. It was epic.
i had to work in the madness but still got a chance to witness it. It did live up to the hype here and there were people friggin every where, I think more than expected. Highway 55 is a 2 lane mountain highway and it had over 70,000 cars that went to the smiths ferry, cascade and McCall areas. I think we had 15,000 people or so at smiths ferry. One field across from us had parked 893 cars at 25 bucks a pop........cash.
Ka Ching.
People started leaving at 1145 hours and traffic was still backed up last night past 2200 hours. It was unreal. More plates from Washington, California and Utah than idaho. Smiths ferry was in the 100 percent zone and I managed to take a couple cool shots that I'll try and post up tomorrow. The lighting and shadows were surreal, it was quiet as a mouse, birds started roosting, street lights came on and the temp dropped 10 to 15 degrees or so. Pretty damn amazing at what a little sliver of sun can do.

Randy.......who had a 15 hour day
