I grew up reading old hunting magazines from the 60s and 70s that my grandfather had in his basement. I read all those stories of Jack O'Connor stalking sheep in the Rockies and Alaska and have dreamed of doing it myself. My dream hunt is Rocky Mtn Bighorns or Dall sheep. One day...

My boy is turning 6 in December.

I would say northern BC Stone Sheep but mostly now all I think about is him getting big enough to handle a 243 comfortably and a nice size whitetail doe walking by our stand or blind.

Then as soon as he is old enough it will be DIY antelope somewhere out west.

^^^^This! I didn't even have to think about it, Marco Polo in Kyrgyzstan or Tajikistan all the way, but seriously doubt that it will ever happen.
Ya it's pretty hard to justify $60k+ on a hunt, but if I could do it without having my family eating ramen for a decade I'd be all over it.

Ha, ha, I think if I spent $60k on a hunt, the only thing I'd need to worry about after that would be making my monthly child support payments.

hunting anything with my son is all i live for. a 10" forked horn feels like the greatest trophy in the world when your son shoots it.
