Considering switching a good deal of gear over to Subalpine. My question is on the pattern. I have grown very confident in Fusion Pattern but been troubled by a great deal of durability issues lately.
Although I plan to use open country for late season and exposed terrain hunts but my hunts tend to switch from Timberline to Rocky outcropping in a single day. They have pushed Subalpine so hard to be a early season sub 50 yard pattern. How versatile however will it really be? Will it work just as good at 15 yards as it will stalking up on a Muley from 150 yards away or work in some exposed open rocky outcrop or grassland as much as it will in Timberline.
I’ll dress and use patterns accordingly however a pattern needs to be versatile when the hunt changes landscapes multiple times. How are the reports of Subalpine so far this year? Any input?
