Has anyone helped a friend or relative get a track chair for a disabled vet? Or got one for themselves?

I was kind of poking around and saw a vet can apply for a grant for one.

My dad is a Vietnam veteran who is disabled. He can still walk, but he really struggles to walk when hunting on uneven terrain. Especially for long distances. This year I told him I'd gladly drive as close to our sitting spots as possible, but still the quarter mile walks were too far. Kinda thought maybe a track chair could help keep him hunting.

What about maybe a Quiet Cat? Do they offer programs for vets? How are they in the snow? Not sure he could ride a conventional style bike, but the models that you stand on could be doable for sure!

Thanks

You might consider reaching out to the Northwest Sportsmans Club as they are very involved in getting disabled outdoorsmen afield.

Monster Muleys, post in the general hunting section. One of the main members uses a track chair. He should be a wealth of information.
