I’ve finally discovered podcasts! I’ve listened to a Gritty Bowmen one, an Eastman’s elevated one and one from Meat Eater. Eastman’s & Gritty we’re both great! The Meat Eater was a little boring. They talked mostly about cooking & eating. Not to mention it was like 2 hours long! I’m interested in the ones that talk more about hunting, specifically western hunting. Tips and tactics type stuff or ones that go through there hunts and describe what they encountered, what worked and what didn’t. Not as interested in gear ones, or the cooking ones like meat eater. Any recommendations?

There are quite a bit of options out there. My favorites are Kifarucast and Randy Newbergs Hunt Talk Radio. I listen to others, but I like to scroll through their feeds and only download ones that I am interested in.

Meateater has a lot more going on than cooking. It's always something different and interesting from all aspects of hunting, including killing, processing, cooking, gear, celebrity interviews, and public lands conservation.

The Hunt Backcountry podcast is the only one that I listen to every episode! I've listened to most of the western hunting podcasts and have settled on The Hunt Backcountry as a personal favorite. I still scan most of the others and download episodes that interest me.

kifarucast is good just go on the kifaru website and you can listen to them all

I saw that one... assumed it would be more gear oriented. I’ll check it out though. Thanks!

Didn’t know Randy Newberg had one. I’ll definitely look for that one. Thanks!

If verbal kill porn is what your after it probably won't do it for you though.

Don’t think I said anything about verbal kill porn. I’m interested in hearing about guys hunts what worked and what didn’t and the different tactics they used in different situations. Appreciate the assuming insult though! I’ll check out a few more Meat Eater & see if there’s some I’m more interested in.

The Hunt Backcountry podcast is the only one that I listen to every episode!

I’ll check that one out... thanks!

Try meat eater again, but download the meat tree part one and part 2. Hee does have some less exciting episodes but is my favorite

A comment about jumping around listening to the ones that look interesting.

In my experience the actual pod casts tend to only sort of follow the description provided and the interesting bits tend to be unrelated to the conversation topic.

Some more than others of course.

Will do, thanks! For the record I’m a fan of Meat Eater, but the one podcast I listened to was boring and uninteresting to me. I’ll definitely give a few more of them a try though.

MeatEaters is a great podcast, when he has some guest on it can be kinda boring but still interesting but when it’s a podcast with Steve, Janis, and Callahan it’s really fun to listen to. Wild Game Basics (E. 99) was a good one! Another good one is Rich Outdoors. KifaruCast is really good too

I personally stopped listening to the Jayscottoutdoors podcast as I liked others more and don't have time for all of them. That said, as far as useful information, tips, etc. for hunting it's probably one of the better podcasts out there. Of course there are some episodes that are better than others so pick and choose.

My personal favorites are Meateater, Randy Newberg, Hunt Backcountry, Avery Adventures, Kifarucast, Shoot n the Bull, and Westernbowhunter.

The Hunt Backcountry, and Kifarucast are my favorites. I pick and choose from Full Draw, Wired to Hunt, Meat Eater, Solo Hunter, Avery Outdoors, Hunt Talk, Solo Hunter, Gritty Bowmen, ect.

Was a big Gritty Bowmen fan, but it has not been as intresting for me since Aron Snider started Kifarucast (fantastic podcast!!!!!!!), so I pick and choose. I am going to stop following a few podcasts unless I can relate more to the content, I am deleating more episodes than I listen too. There are just too many to keep up with! A good problem to have

Love listening to podcasts while doing chores or working out. The knowledge of the Kifaru guys and EXO guys blow me away

Can't believe no one has mentioned The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. Without getting too weird I'll just say those podcasts saved me. I pulled my bow out of the attic and started hunting and working out again. You may want to pick and choose your guests based on their bio but it's good stuff. Also other ones that haven't been mentioned yet I think are Cameron Hanes keep hammerin podcast and John Dudley's Knock on Podcast

Avery Adventures, Kifarucast, Gritty, Rich Outdoors, Epic Hunts, & Archery Maniacs are the hunting ones I listen to most (I listen to some business related ones too).

Recently listening to Stallone’s IWTHM after he had me on. Good one for listening to some of the Southwest hunting techniques. I also started to listening to some of Highlander out of Alberta after I was on. They’re just getting started but have the Canadian perspective that’s different than down here, plus they interviewed The Tracker which was great.

I don’t listen to every episode of every podcast, just like I don’t read every mag article, just the ones that interest me.

Wow... I had no idea there would be so many! Guess I’ll have to weed through them to find ones I like the best. Thanks everyone for the recommendations.
