Kentucky hunts- Spring (Turkey, Squirrel, Coyote)
Fall-(White-Tail Deer, Squirrel, Turkey, still putting in for Eastern KY Elk Draw🙄) I’m getting a GSP pup in May, so fall qoata hunts for Pheasant, Grouse and Quail, he probably won’t be any count but it will still be fun.
Out of state- Nebraska Wilderness Mule deer rifle hunt in November. Freaking stoked for this!

No tags need for spring turkey here. Its one of my favorites. Elk hunting is only more preferred. So, I plan to hunt 8 days in April and may for it.

September gets here and I'm in CO otc for elk archery. 2 weeks of it.

Archery deer here requires only purchased tags up to three. I'll buy my limit of three and plan to hunt every weekend from the end of September through the middle of November filling them.

Rifle deer here starts Thanksgiving week. I'll take a week off and hunt all week.

From there until the end of the year, it will be just weekend hunting for whitetails here.

I really enjoy out west hunting but, I can't fathom having to draw tags to hunt. Or, plan to do so many out of state hunts just to get to hunt more than a time or two a year.

I had put together an application plan for Idaho, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado. Planned to do OTC archery for Idaho spring bear and Arizona coues and maybe javelina.

Then I blew up my transmission and had to dip into my hunting application funds to fix it.

Then I realized Im at a max point position for LE deer here in Utah, possible chance at Mountain goat here in Utah as well this year.

Going to dial back my applications but hopefully have a full season. I kinda outlined my plan on my page and then added more after typing it all out and now Im doing less than what I had wrote out initially! Guess Im flip flopping for the most part this year ha

NM and Texas spring turkeys (Merriams and Rios)
Wyoming Rifle Pronghorn and (maybe) Mule Deer
Utah General Mule Deer (30% draw odds)
NM Mule Deer (40% draw odds)
CO 3rd Rifle MD (100% with 2 points) if not drawn for Utah and NM
Then thinking about a Kansas rut rifle whitetail hunt with some pheasant on the side

Was wanting another shot at elk this year after striking out last year, but not sure I can fit one in the schedule. Thinking I may not even apply in NM this year. If I do squeeze one in, it would probably be a muzzy hunt in September, but my wife keeps trying to squeeze 4 other trips in that month.

Fall grizzly and sheep.
Maybe help a friend get a moose
Why didn't I just move to Alaska before I went and got married!

For the first time in several years I don't have a definite plan. A few of us have kicked around the idea of Nebraska turkeys, but haven't nailed it down. We have enough points to draw a decent WY antelope tag. I have some mule deer points I could burn in CO or WY as well. Nothing is set in stone just yet though.

Just thought it would be neat to see what hunts you are all planning or hoping for in 2018. I think most of the Western States have opened draws ?

I have planned with tags:
April Utah Turkey hunt
Aug Utah Spike Elk OTC Archery (don't have tag but they are unlimited here)
Sept Idaho Elk Archery
Sept Idaho Deer Archery

I am hoping to draw :
Utah General deer (archery, rifle or muzzy)
Utah Antelope Rifle
Utah Cow Elk Tag
Utah late season Turkey

I have already tagged out in AZ OTC Early season deer archery
You're gonna kill a bull in Idaho. I gotta hunch lol

My plans are simple, and all in Colorado.

Mountain lion until March
Spring turkey in April
Fall turkey in September if work allows
Bears and elk in November

Hoping to draw a late season deer tag and cow tag.

Spring Turkey here in Kentucky

Fall Deer, both archery and gun here in Kentucky

Hoping to get drawn for Colorado 1st Rifle, plan B is 3rd rifle. Already have a deposit with an outfitter that will accommodate us either way. Already have my Idaho B tag so I can swing up there after the 1st rifle season, or before the 3rd.

Starting off with Snow Geese at the end of February

Spring Turkey
OTC Archery Elk
Mule Deer if drawn
Black Bear if drawn
Try to snag an OTC Whitetail

Would really like to hunt more upland and small game this year as well. Rabbits/squirrel/grouse. Great way to get out and maybe I'll have more luck than I have the past couple years chasing elk!
