Probably not the one to ask on vehicles, was in the same boat, wanted to get a Jeep for hitting trails, ease of parking in town. also wanted a 1/4 ton Toyota truck for cruising around, finally figured out why not a FJ40, still Toyota truck and a Jeep in one. spent 2years doing a ground up resto, now have a $30k FJ40 Went a little overboard, and they don’t get good mileage, but they are fun, hold their value and are tough, could get a 40 or 60 series for under $10k?
Wife has a Subaru Tribeca, we have a titan 4 door and the FJ 40 for running around, nice to have a 3rd car. Wish I had a older diesel though. IP
