world travelers? packing advice.

I used to be down there all the time for work. Machu Picchu isn't really that high in elevation. It will be colder in Cusco. The weather is usually pretty mild (chilly, but not freeze your ass off). Depending on the season it can be a little rainy. Cicciolina is a great place to eat in Cusco.

I would never leave anything at the airport, would be better leaving stuff at your hotel in Cusco. Bring a puffy, I would probably bring a bag and rely on them for pad and tent. Decent shoes, but heavy boots not required. Headlamp. Basic layers and street clothes.

Pack ciprofloxacin and immodium. This cannot be understated.
