Gonna be spending over a month there next year and thinking it might be possible to hunt boar and stuff. Anyone from the States done this? Any problems with weapons, regulations or anything else i should be aware of?

Austria is a quick train ride (depending on where in Italy you will be) and you will have a plethora of different species available to hunt depending on the time of year you go. This will require a guide/outfitter since hunting is done on private leases/property, and they can provide firearms so all you need is your clothing and kit. I have hunted numerous times in Austria for Chamois, Red Deer, Roebuck, and Black Grouse. I highly recommend it and if you have any questions, please shoot me a pm.

Seems to me Shockey did a hunt there on one of his shows...along the coast as I recall. Maybe check his show listing?????
