As we hike back to camp, I rehash the events, could of,, would of,, should of,,, Holy cow, what a rush it was. I was a hot mess when Luke got to me, as the massive dose of adrenaline drained from my system. I'll concede we should have waited a bit longer, but what a rush!!

Back at camp we had a hot meal and some FIREBALL!!!

Did that face shot glance off the top of his head? Looks like a bullet path along his nose over the top of his head.

Shnizzled on us the entire time we were working, he was so heavy skinning him was a task and even with the feet, pads and head removed the hide weighed over 115 lbs a week later in Kodiak, so heavy green and wet.

Luke and the EMR doing work. This broke in pack is for sale by the way. :)

We float him down to where we will start our float out from. Up in what passes for a tree, we head back to camp. This is only day 3 and we have another week and another tag!!!

Was nice to have a break and we slept in the next morning, easy since freezing rain was sliding off the sawtooth. The next few days we glassed, dodged the band after band of snow/rain. Was cool watching the brothers be brothers and even though they are both grown men, I could see the kid sneak out every now and then. :) Folks hardly talk anymore and was nice to just chat about nothing and everything. We invented a new drink, Kyle is going to corner the market in super mystery soup. :)

Lots of this...

The float out proved to be quite sporting, rolled a raft, lost a few items, had a bear chase Luke a bit. Could of took him, but a smaller bear and not what Kyle wanted, would have been an easy one, just glad he did force us to give him a ride to town too. :)

Made the sea, time to relax and wait for our ride.

What an awesome evening, nice breeze to dry our gear.

Storm blew in and the snow followed us down.
