Cow Bison Tag Wyoming unit 2

Hey all, I got lucky and pulled a cow tag unit 2 Wyoming. I am hoping to talk to some people who have had this tag before or are from the general area. Any help would be much appreciated as I am from Wisconsin.

I plan to bowhunt, I don't have an idea of how many trips I will take out there, but I want to fill this tag. I should be all set on gear.

You need to get a permit through the drawing for the refuge. You might find one early on the forest but most cows are taken on the refuge late in winter when snow pushes them over. Read everything the G&F sends you. Call the Jackson Office and talk with them. Last years was a difficult year, snow late and cows didn't move til way late.
Archery is doable but you probably need a guide with horses for that, Tag and Drag. We have 3 DIY cow bison and non were easy. Matt's Meats for processing or quarter it and take it home to age, we did.
