Has the entire country lost its mind? I guess stopping payments on those evil automobiles that kill more people than guns do every year will be next.

yeah no one tries to ban (or even limit) alcohol or cell phone sales to stem drunk or distracted driving deaths and injuries, but a couple of wacko's use a firearm to commit crimes and everything gun-related needs to be shut down...

Strange times we live in. I used to put my 16 gauge in the back seat in the early 90s and take it to school so I could go squirrel hunting right after we were cut loose for the day.
How have SO many people lost touch with the way things were in those days and that way of life?

It's not about preventing deaths. It's about the progressive left trying to ban guns so they can do what they wish to the people. They have gotten pretty good at manipulating the sheeple to push this agenda, and it surely doesn't help that there is an ever increasing number of these sheep drinking the koolaide.

The demographics have changed. People used to be pretty independent, capable, and could formulate decent logic. These days, they have the government to take care of them, they don't have to be able to do anything for themselves, and they certainly don't need to think anymore......all that is done for them, and then relentlessly played over and over and over in a brain-washing format in the media. That's how North Korea has been run for decades. The difference there is that all those citizens would be willing to do whatever it takes to get AWAY from that. Americans seem to be flocking to that in stampedes.

Sounds like it is the banks of the cards they are processing that are doing this. This is the banks way of saying if you are purchasing a firearm it should be in person so anything over the internet or keyed in would be denied. At least that's what I get when I read the article below. Never mind if it is going thru an FFL

Intuit: We didn't stop processing all gun sales

I basically agree with you but I believe there's going to be genuine blow back from "everyday people" over the coming years because of the type of idiocy we're seeing right now.

Article sure didn't mention they were looking for a new banking partner.

I imagine this is either coming from the credit card companies visa, amex ect or the bank that issues the credit card to the consumer, Intuit is just processing the charge according to the rules of the card. That's how I take it anyway.

And there should be. But there are a lot of ignorant people out there. Even my sister asked me one day "why I needed all those military weapons". I told her that even if I did have an official military full auto rifle, that it would have been made prior to 1986 because that's all that is available with a class 3 to the public. Then she kept on about "assault rifles" and such, and then I helped educate her that an AR-15 is NOT an assault rifle but an Armalite Rifle........that shoots a .224" projectile in a semi-auto format.

I finally just told her to stop relying on the media for her information, as it is all wrong and an agenda. By the time we were done with the talk she thought it was pretty cool that I carry everywhere "for protection", and thought our church security program was pretty intense. Well, it should be.......we have a bunch of active duty and retired military in the church so we take it seriously......as should every American citizen these days.

i saw on some forum where some person believed an article from a news source very similar to the ONION. the article was about charging for the air in airguns in california. he thought we needed to have the air filled from an official station..something like that. if we were to keep the guns at home, we had to remove the springs or air source.

the dude took it seriously.

The big difference is North Koreans are starving and got no free chit. Americans are fat and got lots of chit. They don't care about liberty and freedom nearly as much as cheap or free chit.

If you havent seen the movie Idiocracy you should watch it. While it was intended to be a comedy, it has potential to become a documentary.

People value cars, cell phones, and booze, thus they would object strongly if they were taken away. As the country becomes more and more urbanized, less people value guns, so they don't care if they are taken away. Most rural dwellers experiences with guns have been largely positive (hunting, recreational target shooting); most urbanites don't share those same experiences and the experiences they have with guns is often negative (crime). This is the reality we have to understand if we want to be able to speak to people on both sides of the debate and, more importantly, those in the middle.
