I just recently purchased a new kimber subalpine in 308 as an ultralight for a new Mexico elk hunt. I didn't know if my trusty 7mm would be to heavy to haul around the mountains. I bought a brand new nightforce nxs 2.5-10x32 with the npr 2 reticle and zerostop to put on top with Talley ultralights. I ended up never taking it out of the case as I did fine packing around the 7mm. It's been to the range one time to sight in and break in with right at 20 rounds through it. It's in like new condition. I did add the factory kimber muzzle brake as well, so it's essentially a mountain ascent without the bolt work.
