Son just passed hunters safety and we’re shooting often however the little guy is only 75 pounds. That said I’m looking for a youth savage or other youth rifle, I’m a big fan on the creedmoor. I figure these youth guns get forgotten about in the back of people’s safes as kids grow. What’s out there?

If you don’t have any luck I’d suggest a Thompson center compass 6.5 creed. I bought one for my son (80 lbs) and it’s been a great little gun. 10 rounds down range and we had a very tight group @ 150 yards with the last 5 using factory 140 gr ammo. It was on sale for $185 after rebate. I believe retail is usually $399 but they have great deals in them.

We had great success with the Mossberg Bantam. It doesn't come in 6.5 but does in 7mm08 which is all but idenentical. They have a savage style trigger, a fluted barrel, and ours is scary accurate. Ours has wood but you can also get synthetic. Think they are 325ish brand new on gunbroker.

Agree with 7-08. A lot easier to find. Just swapped son's youth stock to an adult size.
