I thought I would post up the new build. If you followed along with the first "The 300 Project" it was a very successful build, the only issue was I didn't love the stock. But my goal was to make it as light as possible for a long range rifle. This time I went for a more practical LR rifle while still looking to save weight where I could. So here are the parts

Lone Peak TI Razor action(same one I had in the first 300 Project.)
McMillan edge fill game scout. With adjustable cheekpiece. I didn’t use the McMillan guts in the cheekpiece. I used the LoggerHead guts. They are more betta. Dipped in Kryptek Altitude by Hydro-Dip
Wyatt 4 inch box.
McGowan barrel 1/9 twist#5 fluted by Kampfelds at 26 inches
Trigger Tech Special
T2 Terminator break
Hawkins Rings and bottom metal.
The scope is not yet been determined.
Whaley Precision put it all together.

Not a fan of how the suppressor recoils. So I had Matt put on a T2.

I have been testing loads for the last to weeks. With the new Sierra SMKs in 230 in the lead at the moment. But I’m not totally decided yet.

230 SMK, 230 Berger, 225 ELD-M

Best group so far with the SMKs doing 3040 with an ES of 10.

Just under 8 pounds naked. It’s right at 10 pounds with the scope I have on it. But I will probably run something lighter for the season.

what do you think of the t2 brake? how does it compare to others you have used? and which are you comparing it to? what don't you like about it, if anything?
how do you like the logger head cheek piece over the McMillan? is it significantly lighter?

Have you played around with that new Revic Optics scope? I've got a buddy running one for precision rifle matches. Heavy though.

Hurry up and get a solid zero and send some of those Sierra's out to a grand with their advertised BC. I am really curious. If they are indeed .8 above 1900 fps, I want some.

Awesome build!

Is there much for data out there on the pointed tip SMK performance on game?

Not that I can find. Going to shoot it out a ways and see how that .800 BC fairs.

I know my buddy was doing a review for someone, not sure which page though. I'll have to ask him.

The T2 is amazing. I didn’t like the long push with the suppressor. I could not spot my own hits with the can.

The T2 seems to be on par with the T3 and Slayer which are the best I have tried. This is a relatively light weight 300 Rum and my wife could shoot this as many times as needed.

I didn’t want to use the logger head but Matt talked me into it and I’m glad he did. It is a little lighter. But I like the way u can adjust the height with the logger head. It’s more consistent.

That's a badass looking rifle Ryan! I've heard nothing but great things about the terminator brakes but I don't know anyone that has one. Just recently put a muzzle brakes and more and am impressed so far. Do you know how those compare?

I haven’t used one, Mike from Hells Canyon likes them. Looking at them, the T2-3 would be more efficient. How much more I don’t know. But the price for a terminator is way to high IMO.

Shot the 230 SMKs to make sure they would stabilize with the 1/9 twist. Best groups was just under two inches at 400 yards. Now I need to stretch it out.
