DIY European Mounts

I made a few not long ago that worked great for antelope and deer out of the L brackets and Bolts, but the elk heads are a bit heavy and don't get supported very well. What do you guys use to hang up heavier elk heads?

Guess mine probably dont count as heavy cause they are raghorns.
But I just used a 6" wide piece of barn wood and put a wood screw in from the back into the knot in the back of skull.
Then I cut a wedge and put it in between the board and the roof of the mouth.
So far so good.
Not sure if it would hold up w a big bull or not.
