Ultimate Predator breaks up your outline, has fluorescent markers and can be lowered until you made sure, you are alone (archery) ect... I've used elk, deer and antelope as it is my buddy who was creator. They work great!
Great bits of info, it really seems that it is the little mundane things that we hurry over that means the difference between good and great in harvests!
The puffy Uncompagre I would use it on the Idaho late season hunts. Last year I was bowhunting in december in -20 degrees plus. The wind chill made it even colder. I would love to do a review of this in the river bottoms and sage flats.
I would choose the V2-3L, I like the multiversitality of system to switch from bipod, to tripod I would use my nikons, for the current wolf hunt and spring bear. I love the idea of lightweight, easily traded out system. Not to mention summer scouting would be enhanced greatly.
Someone has to draw, might as well be me is my philosophy. #'s wise Montana or Wyoming but there are some good hunts in Idaho if you are not just stuck on rifle and lucky enough to draw, to be had. If time is no issue look @ Archery hunts.
