Anyone have a recommendation for a professional cerakote applicator in the Northwest?
I want a single color on a barreled action, but have enough into the project I’d like to get a factory looking finish, not a barnyard rattlecan zombie battleworn finish (done in cerakote)….
There are only two...
I've not ordered from them, but am a "member"...
Is there any question to whether "they come through"?
Only ask because they want an awful lot to ship to AK...

What are some of the longer "mounting length" scopes out there?
These days, most of the objective ends seem to start tapering very early. This doesn't compliment no-base rings well on a long action.
I'm looking for something for a Weatherby MkV with Talley lightweight (fixed rings). I have a...
I'm obviously not from Utah, but the "Special Federal Lands" in Alaska (The orange is federal........) are my least favorite places for recreation.
While unlikely in Utah, federally directed harassment of hunters with a helicopter is not remotely in the interest of sportsmen.

I like mine very much! The double tie mantles are a PITA and hard (read: impossible) to find in Alaska.
Not heavy at all and uses fuel I already "stock". The 16 oz tall boys will handily last you 3 days and 2 long Alaskan nights.

I haven't tried the .277 ELD-X out yet (because I haven't stumbled across any up here...) but am curious to find out how they stabilize in a 1-10 twist. Report back when you get there!
With regard to the 145 grain load, a bullet with a similar long bearing surface (150 Berger, Etc) would be a...
With regard to the 6.5 Creedmoor zealots, it'd be fun to know how many folks out there were 260/6.5 Swede/6.5 etc fans before the creedmoor was new/cool. 6.5 Creedmoor is the new 300 win mag. :)
Welcome (late) to the forum! Not many folks in Alaska hunting with horses anymore. We've got one mule and 2.25 humans so it's still a walking game for us. Hopefully we'll add to the herd soon. :)
That almost exactly what I had intended to do, but after some good advice on here and a bit of trial and error, the 5 yard pin gaps proved to be a bit cluttered for me. With 30/35 being inside the "ring", I doubt I'd be ranging, making the 5 yard increment sorta worthless.
For my fixed 5 pin...
Sounds like a lot of folks are getting spooled up about this one!
I love how RELATIVELY affordable it is to shoot a 6.5C. Historically I didn't shoot many rifles that didn't burn north of 65 grains of powder and all the way up to 100+ grains for RUMs and the Accumarks.
After that, it takes...
