We went 4 for 4 on tags for the 3rd rifle season this past year. It was a first for my mom, dad, brother and I to be able to all hunt at the same time. My mom got her 2nd buck ever and was the biggest of camp with height and mass.
Not very many spoonies. I shot more mallards here in Washington than I did back in California,. Did ok on honkers but really hammered the snows. We managed 172 snows and 1 speck in 10 trips.
if it came off like that, my bad. I have a general idea of where im headed. Posted more of a if someone else had the tag and needed help getting an animal out or if someone was having bad luck finding them and if I got into them id share.
My dog Cali. She did pretty darn good for me getting her at 9 months old with no training. Got some training in before last season and she's a natural.
Did anyone else draw in unit 30 Colorado for the 3rd rifle season? Myself, brother, mom and dad will be out there all with tags. Havent been back there since my dad drew in 2005 and he got a nice 3x3. We're gonna end up staying at Highline State Park. I have a few areas in mind to check out...
I bought these just the other day to try out. Ive never had a 6'' boot, I normally use the boots I got issued by the Marine Corps. So far I've put a few miles on the treadmill at incline with a 50 pound pack. So far no blisters and they didn't make my feet sore.

I figured it had a chance of being different. I hunt on base mainly for ducks as I have access else where in the state. When I was stationed on Camp Pendleton I use to hunt deer on base. There are some big bucks there.
Following along. As for your camera being stolen on base. Base may not allow trail cameras to be placed on it for security purposes. Im stationed on Fort Lewis and they have a no trail camera policy.
Hello, I live on the westside of Washington and currently Active Duty in the Marines. I stumbled across this site looking for more knowledge on elk huntin. I do mainly chase waterfowl since I grew up in California huntin the Sacramento valley. Havent harvested an elk yet but I am trying with my bow.
