trijicon Accupoint weakness vs Tenmile (wire reticle vs etched)

I have not done an eval on the Accupoint that you are asking about- so not much help there. Mils is the answer. Mils allows you to do things that are not possible, or near impossible under stress. That doesn’t help you isn’t MOA at all. Getting a correction in inches, then converting to...

Talk me out of it. New rifle decision.

Yeah no. The 6.5 PRC is doing very well, and the 300 PRC has been adopted by a part of the US mil. It will in all likelihood be a mainstay.

.223 for bear, deer, elk and moose.

Monos. Tipped TTSX, or LRX in the mag and twist will support. I personally mostly use a bullet that isn’t commercially available.

.223 for bear, deer, elk and moose.

In general I use the most effective (read- terminally) bullet in each caliber/cartridge available. I moderate damage by reducing caliber/cartridge- not by taking spark plugs out of a V8 because it’s too fast. If you want less meat damage, drop down in caliber/cartridge. Though, there still...

Read the whole thread- 223/77gr TMK is way more then a 200 yard combo TMK’s in all calibers kill get well.

.223 for bear, deer, elk and moose.

This is the problem with people not understanding terminal ballistics, repeating what they’ve read or been told, and believing in mythical creatures (not inferring you). Common 55gr and 62gr FMJ are velocity dependent for fragmentation, have low mass for fragmentation, and in general exhibit...

Paint pen or nail polish. When taken apart, just wipe down with alcohol or brake cleaner and reapply. No need to completely remove all the old.

Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed, 7 PRC Field Evaluation

Which/where? It’s used a me a thread locker and for witness marks. I also put it under scope bases for a bit of adhesive.

.223 for bear, deer, elk and moose.

Yes, but that isn’t Phil. Phil uses a 30/06 as a “back up” rifle often. 25:44 is the key time in that podcast.

This is the best one I have of the feed rails when it was apart yesterday.
