Exactly. Would have been nice if they provided the pockets or at least brought the bottom molle webbing all the way around the sides below where the main zipper ends.

A lot of people on here calling the sig cross a chassis gun. It’s not. It’s built around a one piece receiver that everything else it bolted to. I like how it carries over a lot of attributes from an AR15 (grip, safety, dust cover). I think sig did an excellent job designing this gun and I hope...

Bag is just about perfect. Just wished it had slip pockets on the sides near the bottom like most other Kifaru day pack models. (IE updated 22 mag). Other than that they nailed it with this pack.

Best GPS?

I had a garmin 64st until I lost it while shed hunting. Ran to the store and bought the same model because I liked it that much. Having buttons over tough screen is a benefit in my opinion for an actual dedicated GPS unit. I wouldn’t say it’s the best, but it’s simple and I never get lost.

SG Sky 5900 Xcurve or New Solo Xcurve

I sold my R3 bag (pretty much identical to the original solo 3300) to buy the sky 5900 bag. I also run the xcurve frame. I love the sky 5900. This set up does everything I need from day hunts to about 3-5 nights.

I agree. It does almost everything very well. Day hunt, overnight, bivy and haul meat. But so does a lot of other packs.

Boot drop!

Former Marine infantryman as well. I was with 2/7 all 5 of my years. Best advice I can give you right now is get out of SoCal, especially if you want to hunt or start a business as a knife maker. Take care Devil and good luck with your pursuits!
