If your in the Gila, I highly recommend Matt Ellis of Borderland Outfitters. Specialises in horseback hunts in the Gila (16b/16c). Ive hunted with him several times.

New Mexico - Draw Odds & Hunt Results Posted

I hunted 16C early archery last year from the 1st to the 13th. Rained for 3 days straight and temps were quite cool so they werent hitting water. Shot a 300 class bull on the 13th after they finally fired up for a day. I was then told the bulls never did fire up again for rest of season.

Hey Guys Just researching some units for the WY draw. If anyone is up to date with the regulations, I have a unit in mind that offers good Type 1 draw odds but I think it doesn't offer the archery permit to hunt September with the bow and I have to take the type 9 tag route, which I wont have...
