Upland Boots for this retired Guy??

I really like my crispi guides. They have enough flex and cushion to be comfortable on long days. I tend to like stiffer boots though so take that for what it’s worth

Best LRH rifle setup for practice and hunting?

If you don’t reload then I’d stay away from the saum. The prc is a great round with tons of availability. Personally, I’d keep the 300prc and then buy a trainer rifle in 223, 6 creed, or 6.5 creed. How is your 300prc setup? Ie. stock, weight, brake? There may be things you can do to that...

    Idaho Spring Bear

Just pick a unit and go. If all you’re after is a backpack trip then you’ll definitely be able to find that😂 There are bears everywhere. The name of the game is to figure out where they are in the area you picked.

    Idaho Spring Bear

North Idaho has been getting pounded with snow the last few weeks. The local ski resort, Schweitzer, has gotten 5 feet of snow in the last 7 days. Winter ain't over and it's too early to tell when certain areas will start to open up. Mid-may is probably a safe bet, but it will most likely still...

    AWD e-bike comparison

I have a mid drive quietkat and I’ve never needed more power than what that thing has. It easily pulls a trailer up a hill. That being said I’m not expecting this to be a motorcycle. I have to pedal and sometimes it’s a little bit of a workout hammering away up a long hill with lots of weight...

    Spyderco ceramic fixed blade

Did you use the belts that are specifically made for ceramic? I tried using the regular belts on a ceramic kitchen knife and there was stuff coming off but the blade never got sharp. I found that work sharp makes some special belts for ceramic knives and tried those out. They worked amazingly...

Sold CVA Paramount Pro Colorado 50 Cal. Muzzleloader

I have a practically brand new CVA Paramount Pro Colorado 50 Cal. Muzzleloader for sale. I've only put about 15 rounds through it since purchasing it 3 years ago. I bought it because I thought I was going to try to get in to muzzleloader hunting, but I don't have time for it and it's not my...

    Spotting scope dilemma

If all those scopes you listed were free I still wouldn’t take any of them. I started with a gen 1 razor and it was a total waste of money. If you don’t have money for a good spotter than upgrading your binos will do more for you than buying a cheaper spotter
