Anyone have any experience with either of these? I've read about every thread I could find but they usually end without any conclusions. My plan (hope) is to shoot these out of my 7 saum with H1000.
Homebrew 7 SAUM
24" Carbon six pre-fit barrel
Savage Axis II action
Oryx LA chassis
I'm tempted to send it to Unknown to have it +P'd with the hope of getting around 2900 out of berger 184 hybrids.
Thats what I eventually figured out.
Didnt have any issue with RP brass or Bertram brass after firing and during resizing. I used the same procedure for waxing on three different cases and the nosler was only tight at the base. I went from 56gr to 54gr
Yes. Previously fired brass was measuring 1.595 and resized is .002 to .003 bump, did find one that was .005. I used hornady one shot and wet tumble with ss pins (used Unknown Munitions method).
Not sure if its a me issue or a brass issue but bought some loaded rounds for my 7 saum project. They originally would not chamber and being new to hand loaded cartridges it took me some time to figure out that they needed to be resized. So I pulled the bullets emptied the powder and deprimed...
I had pictures on my phone of the mess it made of a doe I shot last year with factory hornady match superformance match ammo. It was around 40 yards but it put a nice sized hole where it exited.
