    Schnee's vs Kenetrek Pacs

Sorry for the late reply, but you certainly can't go wrong with the Cowboys. One of our most popular pac boot styles because of it's versatility. The Cowboy outsole offers ease in and out of stirrups, but the K-lugs in the center still give pretty good grip. If you have any other specific...

    Do You Wax/Treat Your Boots?

Generally you do want to remove excess, however as a general rule of thumb, if the wax is not soaking in that means that your boots do not need more treatment at that time. -Wyatt

    Do You Wax/Treat Your Boots?

You can wear them for a little bit around the house to confirm correct sizing, but then I'd go ahead and wax them up. It will make the break-in process a little easier. -Wyatt

    DIY boot stretching?

It could likely be done, but you'd have to be very careful not to overstretch and risk damaging the internal waterproof membrane. The membranes are somewhat protected, but typically not super stretchy. Hope this helps. -Wyatt @ Kenetrek

    Kenetrek Mountain Extremes review thread

Hey William, Glad you got the wax and got the boots treated. You'll be thankful you did in the long run. Also, just to clarify, Freesole is not necessary at the beginning of the life of the boot, however as a repair product for potential rand delam spots down the road, it's the best thing...

    Do You Wax/Treat Your Boots?

Adamm88 - I can't give a very good estimation of life span of the product without knowing the type of terrain they will be used on. There are so many variables there. If you're getting 2 seasons out of a pair of $100 boots, I would guess that you're not using them in extremely rugged terrain. So...

    Do You Wax/Treat Your Boots?

Hey guys - Wyatt here from Kenetrek. Just wanted to share with you this informational video I shot with Randy Newberg. We talk about why boot care is so important and how to properly perform the task. We all know that a pair of $400+ hunting boots is a significant investment - it's so easy to...

    Best boot for the buck?

If you have any questions on Kenetreks, let me know. In my opinion (obviously, I'm biased), a stiff mountain boot has a lot of advantages over others if the conditions you are hunting in require that level of support. Less foot fatigue being a big advantage, as well as durability, traction...

Boot recommendations for a flatlander with big feet.

Take a peek at our Kenetrek Safari boots - they go up to size 14, and are great for warm weather. No waterproof membrane or insulation and built with the Texas heat in mind. They're a full leather boot with very minimal stitching, so they will be significantly more durable than others you will...

    Kenetrek sizing

Hey Matt, If you're measuring with our sizing chart, and you're coming up with a 8 on one and 8.5-9 on the other, I'd probably recommend the 9s. Typically, you'll be wearing a thicker sock when wearing the Pacs anyways, so that should help. Obviously, our return policy is good, so if the 9s...

    Kenetrek Hardscrabble Hiker review

Robby - Yes. Yes. Yes. Super important to wax your boots. It keeps the leather in great shape and will really extend the life of your boots - not just ours but all leather boots. There are a couple tricks and tips for treating them, so I'll do a longer write-up with some images that we can...

    Kenetrek Hardscrabble Hiker review

Love it Robby! Put them to good use! As far as the heel slippage goes, I'm working on a video with a lacing technique that can greatly reduce heel slippage. When I get that finished up, I'll post it on the forums for everyone to see, however in the mean time, I can sort of describe the...

    Boot advice

I understand that! Wasn't even necessarily pitching you on Kenetreks, but a good pair of Non-Insulated, no matter the make/model would still be a nice addition to your gear arsenal. Good luck this fall! -Wyatt @ Kenetrek
