    Does anybody know if any of the meat/butcher shops in or around Reno offer cold storage? In October am going to be mule deer hunting in northern California and then continuing on to Idaho for an elk hunt. If I am successful in CA I would like to leave the whole deer hanging in Reno for a week...

    I pop the mouthpiece off of my in-pack bladder and stick the clean end of the Sawyer filter in it's place. Then sit back and let gravity do the work.

    Thanks. We've been trying to decide whether we should set up base camp near a road with more comforts, or suck it up and carry camp in on our backs. Sounds like it's a little crowded near the roads.

    My brother and I are planning a DIY Elk hunt in the Salmon zone this fall. Can anybody comment on the idea of hunting in Salmon 36B along the border of Sawtooth 36? With the popularity of the sawtooth zone being what it is, it seems to me that some critters might get pressured out of Sawtooth...
