I've used a 0 degree synthetic bag from Kifaru and a 0 degree Western Mountaineering bag and I will never use anything other than the WM MF Badger and MF Kodiak that I have. The kifaru bag was great and I had no issues with it but I just feel more comfortable and sleep a bit warmer in the WM...
I use FMJ's for practice and hunting. I am also a big fan of a heavy arrow and my arrows are 500gr total with 125 iron wills. I also like the feeling and sound of launching a 500gr arrow over a 430ish or 460ish weight range from my carbon defiant 34.
I have damaged one arrow in the last 4-ish...
The composite stays have a slight curve and are meant for a normal back. If you want to make it straight, I believe you can remove the composite stays and put carbon fiber arrows in for a perfectly flat frame. I would ask kifaru to be sure though but I’ve read about plenty of people doing that...
Selling my kifaru reckoning, 26" hunter frame (composite stays) with medium belt that has no stains and is in mint condition. Only used 2 seasons. Comes with 3 large belt pouches, 1 small belt pouch, nalgene holder and guide lid. Asking $750 TYD for the complete set. Missing 2 pieces of velcro...
Can anyone comment on the recoil reduction between the ultra 5, 7, and 9? I’m considering one of these mainly for the ability to sight my shots without the added noise of a brake.
I just saw these too. They look like a sweet rifle for the money. I’m wondering if 22” would be too long for someone to want to put on a can? I see most people who run cans seem to have 16-20” barrels. I’d seriously consider one of these if I didn’t have my heart set on a 6.5 PRC for my next rifle.
I get the Glock smiley on rounds with low recoil buffalo bore copper ammo. Perhaps the higher pressure is related to the flat nose of the bullet rather than due to the bullets being hardcast?
I started light and ended up heavy and stiff. I have used train running shoes, Lowa renegades, Lowa tibets and lowa tibets hi. I hands down prefer the lowa tibet hi's. The trail running shoes and lowa renegades were adequate for backpacking alone but if you are in areas with a lot of incredibly...
I am running the tibet Hi's but I had the regular tibets before this and had the same issues. I prefer the Hi's as they fit and flex much better above the ankle when hiking in steep terrain. I've been using leukotape and benzoine tincture to mitigate any heel rub when my feet sweat. I also...
I currently have a pair of Lowa Tibets that work amazing for all rifle seasons when the temperature drops. During the summer and archery season, my feet sweat in them like crazy. I am considering trying non-goretex boots or possibly eVent lined boots, which eVent is supposed to be able to...
