This works, but generally Taxidermist's prefer dorsal cuts for a lifesize mount or shoulder mount. Easier for them to fit the hide. Ice axe vs whippet vs trekking poles?
Broke mine after a Feb goat hunt and half a season guiding. Snapped off right at the junction. Did have some issues with the twist lock on the telescoping lower. Goat shoulder mounts
Haven't seen too many shoulder/wallpedestal/half mounts that I have loved either. Lot's of great taxidermy, but they never look as good as a ram. Always find the legs look off in a half mount.
