    .223 my vote, working on setting me one up for practice. I think recoil and cost are the main reasons as stated. Plan on using same scope as my main hunting rifle… Joe

    Daughters and Hunting

    Just spend time with them while you can . Whether it be hunting, fishing , or painting fingernails. Daughters x 4 here, took them everywhere in the woods, young and often. Had some grand times. They all are shooters, all love the outdoors, but can "clean up good" and wear dresses when the want...

    Remington 870 Jr. 20ga, 12inch LOP, lightweight .This is what I got my son when he was 9.But really , even with light loads , these light weight 20's have a bunch of recoil. He still reminds me 17 years later how I tortured him....Joe

    7MM-08 Factory Ammo a Deal Breaker?

    7MM-08 For the win. Cooler than to .308 and not as made as fun of as the 6.5 Creed. Plenty of factory ammo. Been around over 40 years now. Not going to stop making ammo for it. Low recoil and kills efficiently.... Joe
