I used to fight with this until I switched to monthlies. I never did find anything that worked well. Hand sanitizer was the worst, it seems like even though your hands felt dry, there was still some solution on them that got into the contact, giving you tears and red eye for hours. Clean...
Kimber Adirondack in .308. It’s a bit lighter now than when I took this picture. It has a swaro z3 3-9 x 36 on it now too.

Its totally doable, but it gets expensive. Bows are such a personal thing, everybody likes different stuff. That said, unless you are a really small guy, I would get something that has 60 lb limbs that you can turn back to 50 to start. As you go, you can gradually turn the limbs up until you...
I run both the Solo as well as the Approach. For 1 day stuff it doesn't really matter which, as they both compress down to the frame. For multi day hunts, I use both, and will drop 1 bag when I get to where I'm making camp. Which bag I drop is weather dependent, if it's warm and I don't need...
I've had one for a couple years now. It works as well as anything, and I really enjoy it with shorter barreled rifles. It does wear the finish on the forestock though, so if you're concerned about it you might want to wrap it with tape or something. One downside is that there is no way to...
I do. For 30-06 hunting I use 168 ttsx, practice is 165 SST. For .308 it's 150 accubonds for hunting, and 150 SST for practice. Up here in the great white north, we pay more than a buck a bullet for the good ones, and less than half that for the not so good ones.
I have the same collection as Brendan. I started shooting the silverback as my first release. I was hoping that by learning with a tension right from the beginning, that I would not develop any bad habits. For the most part, it has worked. The only time I get into trouble is with the Nock 2...
I shot mine some before bedding, it made a difference, but it wasn't drastic. They are supposed to be 'skim bedded' from the factory, and they are, but I think they use the same action for all the stocks. I think I heard that someone on 24 hr campfire was making the aluminum trigger guards...
Switch to an aluminum trigger guard instead of the stainless one and you will probably get those ounces back. Not sure why Kimber went with stainless for the trigger guard when they were obviously trying to save weight.
I have done it that way with a 4" blade, and it worked fine. I'm not sure I would go any shorter, but it's been a while since I've done it. I don't gut that way anymore. Gutless method is what I use, with a havalon.
I shoot the silverback and nock 2 it, and my wife shoots the mini evo. I have played around with hers a bit, and I find I just hang my third finger. I'm so used to the 2 finger that it's just what I naturally do. I think theoretically maybe 2 fingers is better than 3 or 4, but I think you...
