where did you find videos of some of their hunts? I've only got one day to try and get it done so I'm hoping we can find a canyon and get in on them. Any areas to look would be helpful. Obviously not a trophy hunt when going for a cow to fill the freezer. And its an unguided hunt for me this year.

What is happening when you're rolling your foot on the ball which causes all that pain is breaking up the adhesions from the injury which is a good thing. It sucks going through the "treatment" but it is beneficial and to help prevent the scar tissue from building up.

I use a .300 RUM which may be a bit too much of a gun for mule deer especially in at closer range but its my elk rifle as well. I do have an old winchester .270 i will take out at times if i know im hunting in thicker areas.

I'd say the biggest mistake at least with the spot and stalk method is moving too fast. try to get to a good vantage point, maybe a higher hill or something where you can see off a good distance and then glass. Let your eyes do most of the ground covering.
