WTS MR Pintler w/ L Frame, & Rugged Stitching Load Sling

Foliage Pintler and Guide Lite frame with Rugged Stitching load/bladder sling in foliage with coyote webbing. Bought this and used it on one elk hunt and a backpacking trip. No rips/tears and in overall good condition. It's just been sitting around and I don't know when I'll get to use it...

    Best setup for coyotes

I'd have a custom rifle built in 6mm CM: Bighorn action proof barrel around 18-20 inches some composite stock of choice TBAC Ultra 7 CB Razor HD AMG in Larue QD mount for daytime hunting Choose your NV/Thermal optic with QD for night ( don't know enough to recommend one) To go with it I would...

Anyone hang their animal like this?

There was a MeatEater podcast recently where they had a meat scientist from the University of Nebraska on that talks about this. Its very interesting. If I were to hang something, I would do it like that. Typically stuff gets quartered though. Or, letting it lay in the back of the truck...

Carbon Barrel on a Barrett Fieldcraft

Why don't you measure it and post the OD of the barrel? Measured with calipers. Would be pretty easy to figure out if it could be safely threaded for a brake or not.

    HPG Shepherd Stove

Not necessarily. Scot and Evan are actually pretty active on the FB group. I don't know that they do a whole lot of customer service emails for the shop though.

MultiDay Pack into a Day Pack

Good advice above. If you want to be irresponsible and buy more gear, the Hill People Gear Umlindi v2 or Connor V2 would be a great day pack paired with one of their belts (or not if you don't want a hip belt).

What to expect in Nebraska Mid November

You can't ever know what to expect. I used to hunt the sandhills every year and the only thing that was consistent was it was almost always windy. Other than that it might be in the 80s or it may be below zero and snowing sideways. I can say though that hiking and glassing is much more...

Ways to holster your side arm to bag or self during elk hunt

Drop holsters are horrible for hiking in. Hill People Gear Kit Bag is the best way to carry while hunting, IMO. I've tried a lot of other ways and have finally ended my search.

    Suppressor suggestions

I wouldn't buy anything other than a TBAC Ultra series suppressor at this point. Incredibly light, great suppression, great mounts (if you don't get direct thread). NO POI shift.

Elk heart.... brine or no brine

I followed Meateaters guide on preparing the heart and then use some butter in a hot skillet, seasoned each piece with salt, pepper, and garlic, and cooked until medium rare (I had antelope heart). It was incredible. My brother and his friend were amazed at how delicious it was. I'll never...
