    The 80 will take in more light overall giving better picture quality. What you'll see is cheap scopes with high zoom, they will have much larger lenses then the higher dollar scopes at the same magnification. Having a a swarovski you dont have to worry about that side of it though, there glass...

    i also have a bergera bmr. i have a vortex viper pst gen2 on mine. i know that that is outside of your price range but vortex does have a strike eagle 5-25x56, i got to shoot my buddies gun that he has one on and was thoroughly impressed by it

    vortex has a strike eagle 5-25x56. my buddy has one and he loves it. i got to use it and i was impressed by it, only got to stretch it to 100 yards so not very far but the clarity was very good for the price point.

    if you are willing to get a razor thats what i would get personally. the razor at 65x is more than clear enough, you could probably spot a coues deer on mars

    what unit and when would you want to hunt in idaho? this would be my first trip out there from the east coast. depending on when i would be more than willing to meet up, plus this being my first time out there it probably wouldnt be a bad idea to not go by myself.
