Alrighty, thank you...I knew there were differences between the 84m, 84L- but couldn't find any info on the 8400....I just knew it was their magnum receiver. -

Kimber 8400 325 WSM to 300 Win mag
Can anyone tell me if the 8400 stocks are the same? I have the chance to buy a Kimber Montana 8400 stock that came off of a 325 WSM, and want to put it on my subalpine 300 Win mag. They're both the magnum actions, but wasn't sure of stock compatability. -

I have a Kimber Subalpine in 300WM and less than in love with the grippy/rubbery stock that is on it. (If I can find one) I should be able to put a Montana 8400 Magnum stock on it correct? I have one and really like the grip texture on the gray montana stocks. And does anyone have a lead on...
