    Shnees beartooth 2

I have the Beartooth (not the Beartooth II) and find them really nice. I got a size wide and they fit my feet about perfect. They are a little more flexible than my lowa Tibet which is what I wanted. The newest version has the roller eye's for the laces, looks great. All in all I am happy.

I have one. Replaced the grip with some thicker leather. It's a great shooter.

Mystery Ranch Beartooth vs. Seek Outside Lanner

I switched from seek to mystery ranch last season to give it a try. The mystery pack was comfortable but I had a few issues that I didn't like. My back sweated like crazy, no hip belt molle (Beartooth seems to address this), top of frame hindered me looking up more than seek, lastly the weight...

    Cooking Gear

Who's gone from a down bag back to synthetic?

I can personally attest to this as i have tried all kinds of gear that people recommended. Multiple shelters, packs, and various other gear later i have found what works best for me. This didn't happen in one over-niter either, it took many trips to narrow things down.

    Sleeping bag liners

I have the silk liner as well. I wouldn't say it keeps me any warmer. I just want to protect my investment in down. I'm gonna get a fleece liner for next year.

    The serrrated knife blade.

I had a Spyderco endura full serated for a while (gave it to my dad). That was a pretty mean knife, granted I didn't cut any animals open with it. It seems people sharpen them with round diamond files. Looks tedious.

    Backcountry tents

I had a six moon designs lunar solo and the only thing I didn't like about it was that it was enclosed. Don't get me wrong, camping next to water with lots of mosquitos it helped, but I felt like I lost all the use of the vestibule because of the netting. If I got another it would be the...

seek outside day pack setup photo

I am really happy with the pack so far. I am considering cutting off the backpack straps on the Merlin because I will probably never use it alone (I have a Camelback mule). I wish I could get an xpac dry bag in multicam around 70 liters for the load shelf.

seek outside day pack setup photo

This is the pack set up i am going to run next season, revolution frame with merlin daypack. I am planning on using a dry pack 55+ liters for packing in and dropping at base camp. This is not my first SO pack, i switched last year to a mystery ranch but it was not for me so i went back to the...
