    Spot n stalk during rut

Anybody do spot n stalk whitetail hunting? Feel like i screwed up pretty bad yesterday. Im normally pretty aggressive, and yeah thats led me to blow a few stalks on deer and bears. Yesterday i was up in a 2yr old burn where ive never been. Seemed kind of barren so i wasnt too hopeful. Well right...

    Lightweight scope

Looking for lightweight scope suggestions. Dont need fancy turrets, or high magnification. Just something with decent glass, lightweight, maybe 3-9x. Never put together a rifle with keeping weight down in mind, and dont even really know what is generally considered light for a scope. What...

    Wolves in western Washington ?

Dont put much stock in the east side wolf rumor mill either. Lots of wolves around me, seen several and get cam pics regularly, still dont trust what people say. Couple people stopped to talk to my neighbor because they saw a wolf on my property. The "wolf" was my neighbors black dog mousing...

    The boxer or the fighter?

Id like to watch this fight to see if mayweather ends up taking a foot to his chin. Dont think its playing at the bar in town though, and i dont know anybody who is doing the ppv thing.

Good places to live in Washington?

Id look within your hour drive of spokane airport. Northeast wa is a good area, with good hunting. Cheap real estate too. Gun laws arent bad, but they are constantly under attack. Stay the hell away from the puget sound.

Not that spam is a step up from mtn house, but just curious, how do you prepare spam on a mountain hunt? Mtn house or ramen i understand, add boiling water. But spam? Do you just eat it cold? And do ypu eat a whole can? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hush. New low in the high country?

Believe it. I wouldnt be interested. In fact id be embarrassed to have those heads on my wall. What i have on my wall might not make the books, but i can feel proud of all of it.

    Game Cameras

Nothing is thief proof. Cable locks and whatnot make cameras more noticable to thieves, and just add another 30 bucks that you lost when the thief destroys them. Get a slate river ez aim mount for each cam, carry 4 or 5 screw in tree steps with you, and mount them up about 12 feet high. Screw...

Early season mock scrapes / scents

The deer in this area have a good age class. Like 4/5 are 5x5. Hardly ever see a buck under 3 or 4 years old. I think the lions and wolves pick off the dumb ones. Not a lot of whitetails around, but the ones that are there tend to be shooters.
