    Have you had it in downpours before? Being in central Washington, it can really dump occasionally and staying dry, warm and comfortable is a must to beat that. My Chugach has last 6 years but I never liked the way it fit.

    SE Washington whitetail?

    My brother lives in Clarkston and has been bugging me to take him hunting out there for years. Seems like there’s always deer but I know nothing about whitetails other than shooting them off of feeders when I lived in Texas. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Mounting your own scopes what are you guys doing?

    You can stay simple or go complicated. I like LW Talleys w/pin option. I mount bases, set scope in to find correct eye relief and then level it. Once I’ve got that figured out I attach tops loosely and align reticle with string attached to plumb bob. From there I laser it in at 100 and adjust scope.
