North Idaho Moose

I drew a moose tag for a hunting unit south of I-90 along the Montana-Idaho border. I have chased elk and bear in some of this area and have seen moose, but wanted to check and see if others have hunted in this unit and can offer suggestions. Thanks

If it's a Unit 6 tag, moose are everywhere. I saw eight-ish last year during a few days' hunt. Actually just saw a small bull cross the St Joe River Road on Friday morning.

Just south of 4.

Its basically the same terrain. So I would hunt the bottoms, creek beds and glass the clearings above them. I've seen some good bulls around there 50"ers. Good luck
