Unit 1-1 Nov 1-14th was horrible, was amazed at the low number of encounters we had this year compared to the same tag 5 yrs ago.

The departments lack of response to dwindling Moose population in unit 1 has been disgusting. Our commissioner, Regional Supervisor, and Regional Biologist for reasons which are explainable, continue to ignore the facts. The age structure of harvested animals, success rates and overall population have been in decline for several years. Sportsman have lobbied for several years for tag reduction. The fact that they still have the Nov hunt when the big bulls are extra susceptible shows the have zero grasp of the situation. Being actively involved for over 20 years in this region this concerns me greatly.

Pretty good NR draw odds but the tag isn't worth the price now

Because the feral wolf numbers are exploding and they love moose. Used to see alot of moose.....several a week. I have seen one live and one dead this whole year.......that is it!
