Well I got extremely lucky a couple weeks ago and drew a Goat Rocks Wilderness mountain goat tag here in Washington. Have a lot of learning, working out, hiking, and scouting to do in the next few months. Hoping to kill a nice representative goat here in my home state. Can't wait for the experiences this hunt will provide. I'll do my best to keep this thread updates with pics as the summer progresses and the hunt draws near.

Sorry I haven’t updated this. Made a few scouting trips and learned a few areas. Plenty of goats! I wanted to wait a bit for some hair to grow. Hopefully that doesn’t end up biting me in the end. Last weekend went in for the first hunting weekend. Got pretty much snowed/fogged out for 2 days and called it quits. We made a hike one afternoon basically to get water. Ran into a couple hikers who said they saw some goats so we went looking. Ended up finding them. 2 nannies, 2 kids and a young 3 year old billy that was not what we were looking for.
Here’s a few pictures from last weekend. Headed back in soon. Hoping for a decent weather weekend.

Well I successfully completed my WA once in a lifetime Mountain goat hunt this weekend. Truly blessed and thankful for the outcome, the help I got along the way and the new friends made.

Nice! Rolled the dice to get long hair and paid off. Not a sure thing when wait for later in season. Great looking goat.

Congratulations, great job on a beautiful billy! I don't know why I didn't see this thread sooner. Curious to hear the story on the tent, it only looks to be about an inch of fresh wet snow, did a pole break?
