Idaho late season OTC

Hey guys,

Gonna trek to idaho for a late hunt this year, looking at Units 16A, 17, 19, 20, specifically along the salmon river. I know a lot of elk hunting happens in these units, but I dont see much for late muleys. Gonna scout in September, but obviously the animals wont be in the same spots come November. Anyone hunted much along the Salmon for deer in November?

Probably not going to alot of deer in that wilderness country
But that time the bucks will be moving and easy to locate

Joe, feel free to PM me. I've hunted it a bit. Scouting prior to November work do you any good as far as deer locating.

There's major issues with an access bottleneck on both sides of the Salmon River. Everyone enters at the same places and some have horses to go further. Don't plan on being able to drive any roads that go on the top of the breaks in November. Ex. the road to Mackay Bar/Big Mallard. You also need to be ready for big elevation gains and extremely steep country.
