CO GMU 54 Mule Deer

Anyone have any info on 54 Mulies this year? Two years ago they were everywhere, but I was elk hunting. This year I have a tag for 2nd rifle. Thanks all!

I had that tag back in 2007, when it was a top unit in the state. The weather came very late and extremely hard and ended the high quality buck hunting for years thereafter. I got lucky and shot a very nice 29” resident 4x4 one evening. I often wonder what it’s currently like.

I will be archery hunting for elk in 54 in mid-Sept. I will let you know what I see... was out there in 2016 and saw a handful of bucks.

I'll be out there for elk in T minus 8 days. Wont be focused on muley's at all, but it will definitely lift my spirits if I see them in the area.

Killed a 170" there last year, but got crapped on by a 190+

Just got back from the elk hunt and saw about 3 dozen muley's. Looking forward now to rifle season.
