Hello gang, time for another round of guess the score!
I just glassed this guy up, here in Montana and was able to get some nice pictures. I thought he was going to score pretty well but now that Ive sat down and figured out my guess on his score Im thinking he's not as big as I first thought.

Low-mid 180s

You should shoot him so we know for sure.

I'm guessing mid-upper 170's great deer. Good luck! Hope you can tie your tag to him this year.

You guys are guessing about what I first thought too. I thought he was a solid mid-upper 170s buck, 175ish. But now Im thinking he might be closer to 160.
Hes not real wide maybe 25", mass will be lacking, Im thinking his G2,G3,G4 are about 10" a piece or so.
Would anyone be so brazen to hazard a guess on his age? Im thinking he might be fairly young still, 4.5-5.5 years old.

I think I watched this same buck last year, but its hard saying as I was watching from 2 miles away. All the other bucks in the area are considerably younger/smaller.

His beams will hurt him, but his strong forks front and back will put him solidly in the 160's, maybe low 170's. This deer was exactly 160 and didn't have the front forks that buck has, but similarly short beams and spread. They flare similarly as well, this buck is 26" at the top of his back forks for width.

Pretty buck. I'd put money on him being mid 170's.

Great buck for frame and tine depth, but once he drops the velvet there's going to be no mass. Very skinny antlers all around.

I would say 170. Lots of height and good forks, but thin beams and mass. He doesn't look very old, but then again he is in the middle of packing on weight. Maybe he will look older when his neck swells up and he is chasing does. I would shoot him!

Yea, thanks for the guesses. I hope to locate him again in mid September! Last time I was in the area I didn't see him but did see a similar buck in the same area. Maybe not quite as deep forked but real big body.

High 170's maybe low 180's. Second deer is a good one also. Large body may make make his rack look not quite as big as it is. Good front forks add up pretty quick.
