Well I'm little late with posting this one Went for my first western trip this year and decided to go montana mule deer. So here's my first muley and it was with a bow. (Early September) In the picture with 2 bucks the one on the left the other one is my buddies
Some really nice bucks in here. I only got out for mulies for two days this year, but I was able to take my nephew with me. It was his first time on a deer hunt and he was excited when we got this little buck.
This was a really fun hunt. Not a big buck, but man I had a lot of fun. Weighed the Kifaru at the truck with the quartered out deer and all my gear at just over 120 pounds.

My Wife got it done again this year at 31 Weeks pregnant! She made a great shot! Then I went back a few weeks later and filled my tag on a dandy! Shot him late in the night and didn’t find him until the next afternoon, those suckers are tough! All public land!
Spotted this guy with seven or eight does across the valley. Put the sneak on them and got to within 450 yards, but felt that was too far for me. So just kept sneaking and kept working my way closer and closer. Thought I lost him and just kept working to where I last saw them.
Spotted one doe and then belly crawled to the top of a small rise. Saw a four point buck, but he was not the shooter. He bedded down about halfway up the hill, and then the shooter appeared. He was 212 yards per the rangefinder.
One shot with a 7mag and he was rolling down the hill dead. That was the first shot ever at a deer with the 7mag. Stoked!
Az Jan 2018 OTC Archery hunt.
Spent a couple weeks hiking over 40 miles. Went back 2 weeks later to get it done and found this guy trying to populate the herd.
My first NM desert muley with a bow, a lot of things went wrong on this hunt but I only needed one thing to go right and it happened on the last day!!
I ripped my camper jack off, crushed in the back of my truck, accidentally dry fired my bow taking a shot at a quail and blew my bow string up then dropped my phone on a rock and broke it, turned out to be a very expensive hunt!
