trying to get some info on Arizona OTC units for late seaon hunts. are there units available for OTC in January for the rut?

It's somewhat weather-dependent, I've seen them rock'in by mid-December with a cold snap. Christmas/New-Years' is a pretty safe bet.

Also important to note tag and license are calendar year so December and January would be separate tags and license

Hunting license is a year from when you buy it (they changed it a few years ago), or if you buy it online you can specify the start date within certain limits from when you buy it. OTC archery deer tag is a calendar year (Jan. 1 to Dec. 31).

thanks for the info guys. im looking forward to trying my luck with mule deer. what is your experience with natural streams or creeks in most the central wilderness areas?
